SOPHIA HAYWARD has been living the high life for the past decade. In and out of trouble, the spoiled, selfish young socialite has been on a downward spiral since her rich, elderly husband died. Her latest brush with the law nearly lands her in prison, but a soft-hearted judge sees something worth saving in Sophia. He gives her a choice – serve her 90 days in an LA jail, or go back home to Twin Falls, MD and do community service in the church shelter where she was raised. Grateful to have escaped a prison sentence, Sophia heads east and sets out to right the many wrongs she has committed since she left the church. Her first task – repair her damaged relationship with friend and rival Julia.

JULIA JOHNSON loves living and teaching in Twin Falls, and they love her. She works tirelessly to keep her struggling school and church afloat. ROB is the school principal and Julia’s boss at St. Jerome’s. The more realistic of the two, he knows the school’s days are numbered and this semester may be their last. Beloved pastor FATHER DESMOND arrives with the news that SOPHIA is returning to Twin Falls. Julia has not seen her former best friend in more than a decade and likes it that way. The pastor insists everyone welcome Sophia and help her through this difficult time. But when Sophia rolls up in a limo, Julia suspects nothing has changed. Rob, however, is instantly taken with the beautiful young widow.

Externally superficial, Sophia has wit, charm and intelligence and uses each quality to help the people of Twin Falls. She mends fences with Julia and reunites her with a lost love, helps heal a broken relationship between Rob and his teenage daughter, restores a young girl’s faith and ultimately raises the money to rescue St. Jerome’s from the clutches of a real estate developer out to destroy it.

Set in the Christmas season and filled with holiday music, REASON TO BELIEVE is a faith-based story in the tradition of “Going My Way” and “It’s A Wonderful Life.” It focuses on the value of family, friendship and making a difference in someone’s life.
