BLACK PETER Back
to main films listing
Black Peter is a fantasy-adventure in the tradition of
Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. While St.
Nikolas rewards good children, his brother Peter punishes the bad
ones. Working from “the list” warnings are sent out each Christmas Eve
in the form of a lump of coal. Any child who gets coal in his stocking
has one year to improve his bad behavior and be spared a life of
servitude. But if he ignores the warning, his fate is sealed. He will
spend eternity working in Black Peter’s coal mine, forgotten forever
by his family and friends.
Only one child has ever dared escape from Black Peter.
Boom had spent ten years in the South Pole. He worked hard and earned
Peter’s trust – ultimately becoming his Apprentice. Peter taught Boom
magic and rewarded him with a magic pen that could create anything he
could imagine. But Boom was desperate to return home, so he betrayed
Peter’s trust and escaped. Believing Boom was dead, Peter gave up the
search, but never forgot the betrayal.
Boom returned home, but Peter’s spell prevented his
family from remembering him. Completely alone in the world, Boom managed
to befriend his older brother Mark. Mark felt protective of Boom and
looked out for him through the years. When Mark’s son Ethan receives a
lump of coal in his stocking, Boom tries to warn him, but the boy will
not listen. He even tries to stop Ethan’s kidnapping, but fails. Working
with Ethan’s brother and sister, Boom sets out to rescue Ethan from
Black Peter.
